Returns Policy
This Policy forms part of the General Terms and Conditions, and so words defined in the General Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

The following products cannot be returned in terms of the ECT Act:
Items which have been specially ordered for you, marked by “Special Import” in the title. This is in accordance with Section 44 of the ECT Act.
If the device has an out of box defect or is faulty from opening, you can log a support ticket through email info@techwarehouse.co.za, support will contact you to assess the defect and assist accordingly

Local stock items:
- You are entitled to a 7-day cooling-off period. If you decide to return a non-defective product, you may do so for an exchange or store credit.
- The product must be returned at the customer’s expense, in its original sales condition. Please do not remove the product from its original packaging and/ or use the product.
- In the case of a device that takes a SIM card, inserting the SIM card and logging onto a cellular network is deemed to be usage.
- In the case of a WiFi-enabled product, connecting to a WiFi network is deemed to be usage.
- Remember the Tech Warehouse may hold you liable for any damage caused to the product while it is in your possession.
- We reserve the right to refuse a return if products are not returned in their original, saleable condition.
- Handset in the original undamaged box (including inner trays)
- Any promotional attachments received with the purchase
- Any shipping fees will not be refunded and return shipping will be at the customer’s expense.
Products returned that have been wilfully or negligently damaged, scratched, neglected, modified or repaired will be sent back to the customer at their expense.
If a product is eligible for a return but has not been returned in original condition (e.g. opened if was sealed, damaged box, missing accessories or manuals), the return may be refused, if processed, less fair depreciation in order to recoup any losses. This will be decided solely by Tech Warehouse. The deprecated value will be decided subject to the extent of any damage found, the cost of any missing parts and market-related factors. This fee may be up to 50% and may take up to 7-21 working days excluding courier times.
Please contact us on info@techwarehouse.co.za should you wish to return any items. When items are authorized for return, please include a copy of your invoice and package it securely so that it does not suffer any damage during transit.
We strongly advise you to use a secure signed-for delivery service and that the cost of returning the goods is your responsibility. It is your responsibility to cover insurance for the goods that you are shipping to Tech Warehouse as we cannot guarantee that we will receive them
Return exchange/credit will not be issued for non-defective items. Where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you. We reserve the right to refuse a return/refund/exchange/credit
Tech Warehouse can only offer exchanges on in stock items for another in stock item. Special imports are excluded

Feeling of regret.
Buyer's remorse is a feeling of regret or anxiety after making a purchase. It usually occurs after a person makes a significant purchase, such as a home or new car, but it can occur after smaller purchases.
Store collections
- If you elect to collect from the Tech Warehouse Store the returns policy is governed by standard retails sales conditions of the store and the cooling-off period no longer applies
- Customers are responsible to check their purchase before leaving the store to confirm it is suitable and the order is correct
- If the customer is unhappy with the product supplied and ordered, they should not accept possession and can request a credit
Cancellations
If you would like to cancel an order before the order has been processed, depending on payment method card or eft, you will be liable to a 5 - 10% cancellation and restocking fee
Back-order/Special Import items will need to be cancelled within 24hours due to shipping from our supplier commences within 24-48hours
Warranty

Tech Warehouse offers a 7 day out of box warranty on hardware defects. Imported items come with standard 3-month international warranty unless otherwise stated.

If there is anything wrong/defective with the device please email info@techwarehouse.co.za along with a brief description and a possible screen shot of any errors where possible. Our technical team will respond and advise further
All products are sourced from our local and international suppliers, who will either repair or replace the item within the warranty period. All manufacturers and suppliers have different processes for handling repairs/replacements and we will assist you in obtaining your item back as speedily as possible. You will receive our complete support and we will keep you updated throughout the process. This process however may take up to 6 months
What is covered?
International products (Special Imports) have 3-6 months depending on product parts and labour costs for the repair of a manufacturer defect or fault of production which has resulted in the product malfunctioning.
In Warranty Problems - Should there be a problem with an item within the warranty period, we will assist you to have the product evaluated and exchanged or repaired if required by our international manufacturers and suppliers. The exact procedure will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, although we’ll provide every assistance possible.
Note that in certain cases it may no longer be possible to exchange the item for exactly the same model, as the particular model may no longer be manufactured. In such instances, we may exchange it for the most similar model from the same manufacturer. We reserve all our rights when making this decision.
Note that any physical damage to an item will invalidate the warranty. Removal of serial number barcode stickers from items will also invalidate the warranty as it will then no longer be possible to track the item. User damage caused by inappropriate use, use not intended or under conditions not covered will invalidate the warranty as well. Where an item returned is deemed to be faulty due to user damage, a shipping fee and a 20% handling fee will apply.
Warranty Terms
- The warranty is valid from the date of invoice until the end of the period as stated above.
- The original invoice must be presented in order to lodge a claim.
- Advance notice must be given to us before shipping back any faulty units to us.
- You will be responsible for the cost of having the product returned to you if the fault of the product is not covered by this warranty.
- You will be responsible for the cost of inspections and diagnostic if the fault of the product is not covered by this warranty.
- The warranty is not transferable to a third party.
You should take all reasonable precautions to safeguard your assets and property (including all software and data) and to minimize potential loss or disruption, including, where appropriate, making full backups of all your software and data and implementing virus checking controls.
Tech Warehouse will not be held responsible for any local supplier or third-party supplier that sells us contract devices. Tech Warehouse will not be held responsible for devices which have not been paid up in full on their contract terms (non paid contracts, blacklisting etc)
Defective products
Any goods supplied by Tech Warehouse are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty; It is your responsibility to complete your warranty cards immediately on opening or on installation and to send them to the manufacturer directly to facilitate a seamless warranty process, whenever required.
Tech Warehouse can only assist you, as far as reasonably possible, to try and enforce a warranty against the manufacturer of goods on your behalf.
You may be required to invoke the warranty directly with the manufacturer
The following are not regarded as defects and will generally not entitle you to a warranty or refund claim:
- Faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
- Damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
- Damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion;
- Damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
- Damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product; and
Where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

We will replace or repair faulty items this may take up to 6 months
Wrongly Delivered Items
- Please contact us immediately if we’ve made a mistake and delivered the wrong item to you. We will dispatch the correct item as soon as possible and collect the incorrect item from you
- Goods must be in an unopened condition. Please do not remove it from the original packaging, open or use the product in any way
- If the package is opened in any way or damaged and not returned in saleable condition, we reserve the right to reject the return
- Any incorrect delivery remains the property of Tech Warehouse unless agreed to by both parties and specified in writing
Damaged Items
- If an item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately. Please retain all the packaging and if possible, take photographs of the items and packaging.
- When Goods are delivered, it is your responsibility to check whether any damage may have taken place during transportation
- For insurance purposes, any discrepancies and/or visible defects must be noted on the delivery note/waybill.
- If no issue is raised at the point of delivery and the product is accepted the parcel will be considered as delivered in good condition and no subsequent complaints will be accepted by Tech Warehouse
- Please be aware comments such as subject to unpacking/inspection or damaged box have no legal standing, please refuse the product on delivery
- If you have refused delivery, please get hold us as soon as possible so we can have your goods sent to you in good condition. If possible, send us pictures of the damage so we can raise it with the courier company
Important information
- LISTING PHOTOS are for reference only, they may not be exactly the same as the actual item such as content, colour etc.
- ALL Phones we sell are of GSM Network Unlocked and for our QUAD BAND GSM Phones, they can work for all GSM Network Operators in the world.
- Please note our devices are specially imported, therefore the imported items may be Global or CN rom or CN rom with PLAYSTORE ONLY - PLAYSTORE PRE-INSTALLED. It is the consumers responsibility to ensure they understand that they are purchasing an imported device. Please see our FAQ’s for detailed descriptions.
